8 days left...
Thing 1: Revise your 55 word story and hand in final copy by tomorrow (Wed).
Thing 2: SOPHS & JUNIORS ONLY: Choose 3 things you've written (either this quarter or not) to hand in to the Literary Magazine.
Thing 3: Get in your groups. Decide whether you will make a wiki or not. Will you set up a blog together? How will you organize your information?
http://pbwiki.com
Thing 4: Start laying down concrete information: characters, plot, who's doing what. Final version of this is due one week from today. ONE WEEK!

Home stretch, people:
1. Work on "What I needed to say." Final due to me, hard copy, tomorrow (Wed.) I'll take it today if you have it.
2. Post and comment as you see fit.
3. Start working on your 55 word story. That is due on Thursday. If you've got something going, post it. Ask for specific feedback.
4. I'm not trying to overwhelm you, but I know there will be people who are all set, so if you are one of these people, be thinking 300 word story. Focus on character.

Howdy, gang--
Please read EXTRA carefully today:
1. Revise "A Time My World Changed" and post it.
2. Give me a hard copy stapled to your earlier versions.
3. Tell your blogger group that yours is posted.
4. As a blogger partner, your job is different than usual:
A. Read the earlier version.
B. Read the most recent version.
C. POST at least 2 things that you noticed have changed between revisions. Example: "You made the images stronger on the 1st and 5th lines. You also cut the 3rd stanza to eliminate repeated ideas."
5. Start working on "What I Needed to Say." First versions due Friday.

Hello, Writers!
Today:
1. Post your "A Time My World Changed" poem. At the end of the posting, ask two (or more) questions of your peer reviewers.
2. Here is the list of blogger partners. You picked one (or maybe didn't--then A.J. and John picked for you) and I put you with another pair. Check it out:
A. Kelly & Cassie; Dezi & Desmond
B. Nick & Courtney; Casey & Pang
C. Jacqui & Gwyneth; Jessi & Leyen
D. Kelsey & Ali; Tina & Jasmyn
D. Liz & Annelise; Katie F. & Martina
E. Callie & J.T.; Melissa & Shon
F. Meng & Shola; Katie Andreen & Matt
G. Geoff & Jordan & Nancy
H. Katie E & Massa & Ruth
Your blogger partners are important in that you are responsible for giving them feedback FIRST. You are encouraged to read others' writing, but you are required to read the writing produced by your blogger partners.
3. So today, leave a message for each of your blogger partners. Greet them. Describe how excited you are to be partners with them. Love them. And answer the questions they have posed for you.
4. Finish your Tortured Love Cliche/Non-cliche poems. Post them if you like.
5. Work on any re-writes you'd like.
6. Post here when you think a reasonable V. 2 due date is. Remember: we're behind. I will come around and check off V. 1 but there is no need to give me a hard copy. You'll revise with peer comments and give me V.2 hard copy.
7. If you want to start thinking ahead, our next poem will be "What I Needed to Say."

I hope your 3 day weekend was very...Presidential.
Today:
1. Work on your final play. Hard copy due in my hand tomorrow. 50 points possible. (I'll take it early if you've got it).
2. Post your play (there are a number of stragglers--don't be one of them). Read, comment positively at this juncture.
3. Start working on "A Time My World Changed."
4. If you have done everything, then use this time to freewrite. Brainstorm. Puke that soul out, baby.

Welcome, writers. Here's the skinny today:
1. Post your play on your blog.
2. Hand in the hard copy to me.
3. Pick a partner: this person will be your "blog partner." Post your names here.
4. Try to get around to each person's blog and read their play. Leave a SPECIFIC, POSITIVE comment. Ex: "Your dialogue sounds realistic, especially the section between Bernice and Claudio." NOT "Cute! LOL!"
5. If you get done, our first poem assignment will be "A time my world changed." You can get started on that if you wish.
